The best way we can think of to help walk out this “connected” life day to day is to be a part of a Connection Group.  These groups meet weekly (most meet on Sunday mornings at 9:45am on the campus of East Booneville Baptist Church).  Click here for the most current listing of Connection Groups.  Or e-mail us and we would be glad to help you find a group that is right for you.

Why be in a Connection Group?

  1. You will understand the Bible better in a small group.
The Bible must be applied to your own personal situations and that happens best in small groups.
  2. You will begin to really feel like part of God´s family.
Most people who have been part of a group say the greatest benefit is the close relationships and friendships that develop. It helps to know others are facing the same difficulties in life, or have lived through them and learned spiritual principles in the process.
  3. You will be able to handle stress and pressure better.
Small groups provide excellent support in times of crisis, change, and stress.  We need each other.
  4. A Community Connection Group may open up an easier way to witness to a non-believer.
Some people have preconceived ideas about church.  Just the thought of going to church makes them defensive. But those same people may be open to an invitation to a casual Bible
    discussion in some other setting.
  5. You will develop leadership skills you never knew you had!
As you share and participate in a relaxed small group setting, you will discover how God has uniquely gifted you to serve others for His glory.
  6. You will deepen your understanding of worship.
Worship happens anytime we focus on God. Sometimes that happens best in a smaller group in praying or sharing together.
  7. You will be a New Testament Christian!
The book of Acts is very clear about how God intends for His people to grow and have their needs met in the church.   The Bible is clear– the Christian life was not intended to be a solo mission.

be_connected_bannerThe whole purpose of the church is to BE CONNECTED.  We sum this mission up in three sentences.

CONNECT WITH JESUS.

First, being connected to Jesus is essential.

CONNECT WITH EACH OTHER.
Second, being connected with other Christ-followers is vital.  Christianity was meant to be walked out in community.  We see this all the way through the New Testament.  We need each other in the good times and in the tough times.

HELP OTHERS DO THE SAME.
Third, we can’t really call ourselves disciples if we aren’t doing what Jesus did- helping others know, love, and follow Jesus.
