What should I expect in a service?

enterFor most people coming to an unfamiliar church can feel, well… unfamiliar.  First of all we want you to know you are welcome here. Here is a glimpse into each of our weekly service so you can know what to expect.

As soon as you walk to the front doors you will likely see some of our greeters. If you should have any questions about where anything is located in our facility they would be glad to either tell you or give you an escort where you need to go. If you have little ones with you an usher would be glad to introduce you to Ms. Nina Allen, our nursery coordinator.

CONNECTION GROUPS
Connection Groups meet at 9:30am each week in classrooms throughout the facility. There is a something for every age group from nursery, children, teens, college & 20somethings covering all different ages. For adults it is your choice if you would rather attend a men’s, ladies, or mixed group. There is also an “all ages” group called Open Doors. We want you to attend a group that best fits you and your family. In Connection Groups there will be a time for fellowship, Bible study, & prayer. There may be planning for upcoming ministry opportunities as well.  If you need help finding a Connection Group just walk up to the Connection Point desk and we will be glad to help you find your way.  Or, you can find a complete listing of our Connection Groups here.

SUNDAY WORSHIP SERVICES
Our Sunday morning worship service begins at 10:30 each week (with the exception of Easter where we have two identical services- 9am & 10:30).  Our morning worship time typically begins with music- both congregational (sing along) and from our worship team. Our Worship Team consists of singers and a variety of instruments- piano, keyboard, bass, drums, and guitars. Lyrics are projected on large video screens so everyone can follow along. There are offering boxes located by the doors exiting the auditorium- and this is for our members- not for visitors (we do not expect non-members to participate with the offering). The message is preached by our Lead Pastor and on occasion another staff member. Most services are concluded with an invitation- a time where people can respond to the Lord or come to a pastor for prayer or counseling.  After each service one of our Pastors is available to meet or speak to out front, in the foyer or just outside the front doors.

Here is a recent worship service at East Booneville Baptist Church (October 1, 2023). We broadcast our services one weekly delayed on local radio (FM 102.9), on our website, and on Facebook. Here is a listing of our most current messages and broadcast services.
