Everyone has a spiritual “next step”. A great question is this… WHAT WILL BE YOUR NEXT STEP? This list is not comprehensive but it does cover quite a few common next steps.
Salvation
Have you put your faith in Jesus to save you from your sins?
NEXT STEP: Pray to God- admit to him you are a sinner, believe that Jesus paid for your sin and was resurrected from the dead, and confess Jesus as Lord (boss) as you repent (turn) from your sin. If you would like to speak with someone about becoming a Christ-follower, talk with a Connection Group leader, any church staff member, or a growing Christian you know.

Baptism
Have you made your faith public by following Jesus’ example & command to be baptized?
NEXT STEP: Talk with a church staff member about your desire to be baptized and they will help you get your baptism arranged.

Personal Spiritual Fitness
Do you know how to feed yourself & exercise spiritually through reading the Bible & prayer?
NEXT STEP: Begin reading scripture and praying each day. If you would like some tips on how to grow spiritually, speak with a Connection Group leader or any church staff member.

Public Worship
Do you meet regularly with other Christ-followers & passionately worship God?
NEXT STEP: Meet regularly with other Christ-followers and worship the Lord with all of your might.

Connection Group
Do you meet regularly with a specific group of Christ-followers with the purpose of walking with Jesus together?
NEXT STEP: Find a Connection Group that is a good fit for you and become involved. A list of current groups is available here or at the Connection Point in the foyer.

On Mission
Are you actively involved in God’s mission to make disciples by leading in your home, serving in the local church, & reaching out to those on the outside?
NEXT STEP: Walk with Jesus with your family. Find a place of service in your local church. Look for opportunities to serve outside the walls of the church in Jesus’ name.

Stewardship
Are you joyfully investing your time, talent, & treasure to further God’s mission?
NEXT STEP: Freely give your time and talents for serving and making disciples. Freely give your treasure to fund Kingdom work.

Notice the person in the center of this illustration. Our goal is for every member of East Booneville Baptist Church to be in the “sweet spot” of these steps, fully engaged, for the glory of God.
These steps do not end. We want to become disciples who make disciples, who make disciples, who make disciples… until the Lord Jesus returns or calls us home to heaven. May we invest our days well by being about God’s disciple-making mission.
