HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATES

  • The East Booneville Baptist Church graduate recognition service will be on Sunday, May 18th during the morning worship service.
  • Graduates should be at the church that morning, WITH THEIR CAP AND GOWN IN HAND, by 9:30 to enjoy a nice breakfast. This will be the time they get details of how the morning will go. The group photo will also be taken at this time.
  • Senior tables should be set up while the gym is open on Friday, May 16th and Saturday, May 17th.  The gym will open on these days 9:00 am – 7:00 pm.

The 6-foot tables will be in the gym ready for you. They will have white tablecloths on them and will be against the walls, where they need to remain.  Decorate as simply or as elaborately (don’t go crazy) as you wish.  Just be sure to keep your memorabilia in your designated area.

  • PHOTOS – please email up to 10 photos to me at ed@eastbooneville.com.  Please select a few showing how they have grown over the years, some capturing their personality and at least one of their senior photos.  These will be used in the slide show shown during the graduate service.  Again, these should be EMAILED, not sent via text. If you need to send them in several emails due to the size of the files, no worries. These photos should be emailed to me by MAY 11TH.  The presentation takes time to put together, so this is a necessary deadline.
  • INFORMATION NEEDED FOR GRADUATE – email this information along with your photos.  I need the following:

1) Parents’ names

2) School they are graduating from

3) Plans after graduation – college/work/military…whatever they will be doing next.

4) A list of their high school accomplishments you would like to share. Think academic, athletic, clubs and honors. Some turn in a few, some turn in a massive list.  This is your decision.  If you would like to see an example of this, take a moment to watch the video from last year’s graduation service.

  • Parents, your student will eventually forget about the senior table decorations, the graduation money will be spent and the caps and gowns put away.  Take time to give them something that will last. Write them a note sharing how proud you are of them, prayers for the future, how much you love them and other things that will make them feel special. Better yet, talk to some other family members and ask them to do the same. Some of my most treasured possessions are notes from my Mom and my Grandmother.  Since they are no longer with me, those notes are so much more precious to me.
  • The reception will be held after the graduate recognition service.  It will be a nice time for family and friends to gather to give out hugs and congratulations.  There will be snacks!

If you have any questions about any of this information, please call or text me.  My number is (662) 231-8833.  Our church family is looking forward to celebrating YOUR graduate!
